Owner/Operator Orison Wood first started doing satellite installation while working as a technician for Teltronics Service Centre during the early 1980’s at the start of the C Band Dish era. As demand increased Orison set out on his own sub-contracting under the name of Gemini Electronics.
In 1986 as the demand grew he needed to train some additional man power in the form of his twin brother Clinton Wood to help with the installation of various Satellite Systems.
After a couple of years Clinton elected to go out on his own moving to Revelstoke BC in 1988 to work for Lifestyle Home Fashions installing systems for them, followed by installing systems a year later for Satellite Tonite in Salmon Arm. When Lifestyle Home Fashions opted to not continue selling satellite equipment, Clinton made the decision to like his brother earlier open his own Satellite installation and services company, so Eye On The Sky Satellite Systems was born.
In 1990 Clinton moved to Nakusp BC where he gained valuable experience from Clive Bunning owner of Brim Enterprises (A Local TV Repair Shop and Satellite dealer) to offer additional benefit to their customers.
Later that year Clinton contracted with World Wide Satellites in Kelowna, offering installation services all over Southern British Columbia from Quesnel to Osoyoos and Hope to Golden.
Meanwhile Orison continued to operate Gemini Electronics as well as take on some additional work with World Wide Satellites in the Kelowna Area.
In 1995 Clinton returned to Kelowna once again working with Orison doing Satellite installations. Orison (Gemini Electronics) who became a dealer for one of the national satellite providers in 2000 and 2001 Clinton became a dealer for the same provider changing the name of his business to A1 Eye on the Sky Satellite Services.
At this time Orison was swamped with work at Teltronics doing TV repairs and decided it was best to step away satellite work, leaving Clinton to take over his customer base.
With TV repair on the decline in 2014, and Clinton having some medical issues, he turned over the ownership of A1 Eye on the Sky Satellite Services to twin brother Orison Wood. Clinton has agreed to stay on to assist Orison in giving the same great services as our customers have grown to expect.
A1 Eye On The Sky Satellite Services specializes in repairing and installing satellite TV systems. Having a long history in the satellite TV industry, we’ve handled everything from the large C band dishes, cable pre-wiring to service upgrades. We take great pride in doing a neat professional installation or repair on your satellite system promptly as if we were doing it in our own home. We provide thorough advice on the general operation and upkeep of your satellite system. We welcome any and all questions you may have about satellite TV.
We are sorry to announce that as we are not able to meet the required quota with the national satellite provider that we have represented for the last 16 to 17 years, our dealership with this provider has been terminated, and all references to them including their logos must be removed from our site and vehicles, so we are no longer able sell or provide their product or services. We would like to thank all of many our loyal customers that we have provided services for these many years, and would like you to to know that although we are no longer representing this provider, we will still be willing and available to help with any other installations and service on where we can.
